G. F. Barber house design

G. F. Barber was an American architect who started a mail order firm, where you could obtain complete house plans through mail in order to have a local contractor build your house. Thousands of Victorian houses were built in America, Canada and elsewhere in the world following his firm's plans.

The one above is a very "all-dressed" victorian example. For around 5000$ , you could have it built... in 1890.

Taken from The Cottage Souvenir No.2, by G.F. Barber, 1891, reprint by Dover in 1982 under the title Victorian Cottage Architecture, An American Catalog of Designs 1891 .
