Honey Comb Housing

These designs were weird. They stuck out in places that didn't seem to afford any more usable space in the house.

The houses in the background are like the ones that we were staying in. Most people on the island live in one of these. We called these the "90s" houses, as the base closed down in 1996, although all the houses were in use until that point or just prior to it.

This is a new modern duplex house on Chandler Avenue in Victoria, BC, Canada.

The home was designed by the owner, architect Andrew Beckerman. He lives in one side of the duplex, and rents out the other side.

Dingleton Boiler House

Studio DuB have recently been granted planning permission to convert this fabulous Peter Womersley-designed former Boiler House of Dingleton Hospital... The plans are rather exciting: three duplexes and a triplex all on the ground floor... and an astonishing two-storey penthouse on top. I so want one!
